Each bobbin boat holds 9 to 11 large bobbins. The last two pictures show my actual bobbins stored in the product. The blue boat has my Bernina 700 series bobbins in it and can only hold 9 of those. The yellow boat has my size M long arm bobbins in it and it can hold 11 of those. I can't speak to other brands, but it's a great product that seems to take up less space than the donut shaped holders. The curved interior “hugs” bobbins securely in place.
